About Snorkeling –
Snorkeling is the practice of floating on the shallow sea waters while equipped with a buoyancy jacket, diving mask, a shaped tube called a snorkel, and fins. Use of this equipment allows the snorkeler to observe underwater creatures with relatively little effort.
Snorkeling is the easiest and safe method to observe underwater life for swimmers and non swimmers in a natural setting without the complicated equipment required for scuba diving. Knowledge of swimming is not required for snorkeling.
About Our Snorkeling Partners
We have tied up with Barefoot Scuba, one of the oldest and leading scuba and snorkeling operators based in Havelock. The friendly instructors and the quality equipment and boats they use persuaded us to choose them as our snorkeling operators.
Snorkeling Locations – About South Button Island and Henry Lawrence Beach
South Button is a marine wildlife sanctuary that boasts of crystal Clearwater and selected as India’s best location for snorkeling as it facilitates maximum exposure of marine wildlife while snorkeling. It takes 1.5 hrs travel by boat to reach the island. It is a safe place of children to snorkel as it is shallow and current free. Special permission from forest department is required to access this place for which we have made all arrangements
Henry Lawrence Island has an isolated beach full of rare corrals and shells that are part of the marine wildlife sanctuary. Your will find only the trails of trails of live sea shells and other marine creatures and no human footprints at all. It will not be bogus if I refer to this place as heaven on earth. The beach is a door way to view plenty of colorful fishes.
